Re: “Top court asked to judge kids’ climate case” (The Canadian Press, Dec 24): It seems to me that our judges have too much time on their hands, especially in reference to this frivolous lawsuit brought by seven youths who allege there is a climate crisis. Instead, these kids should launch a class-action suit against the gender-neutral sun — I would even join them. I became an expert on ‘climate change’ when I was in Grade 5 or 6 in the late ‘50s. It was our science book (which, although somewhat frayed, I still have), Working with Science by Katherine Hill and Gerald S. Craig, that explained everything about the climate. The book describes in detail (with really nice pictures) how influential the sun is on climate and just about everything else. That being said, I’m not quite sure how I’ve managed to avoid capture for almost 65 years for failing to return the book to the school. I’m glad I don’t live in New York City, because as a book scofflaw, I wouldn’t have stood a chance against someone like Mr. Bookman.

(It’s surprising the court is even hearing this case. But this is more about grabbing headlines and meaningless activism.)

Pierre to the rescue

I would like to thank Pierre Poilievre for once again trying to rescue Canadians from Justin Trudeau with an upcoming non-confidence vote on January 30. If this is the day that the Justin Trudeau Government falls, Canadians will be dancing in the streets with joy! When this momentous day happens, where Canadians are liberated from the Liberals, it should be declared a national holiday. We could call it “Trudeau Vanquished Day” or TV Day for short. Canadians could celebrate this special day by staying home, relaxing, watching TV, eating fun foods and experiencing joy (the opposite of what Trudeau gave us including stress, unhappiness and the requirement to work more). I can’t wait for our first “Trudeau Vanquished Day” to begin!

(We would need a government that functions to enact such a holiday.)

Lying on the job

Jagmeet Singh, the self-appointed defender of the working class, has betrayed the posties, just like betrayed the rail and port workers. He had a chance to topple Trudeau’s government with the Conservatives’ non-confidence motion on December 9, but he didn’t think beyond his pension. Other than the hardcore socialist NDP voter, how can anyone vote for the NDP and this self-serving, lying Judas.

JEFFREY ANDERSON

(More promises have been made to send Trudeau packing, we shall see if everyone follows through this time.)
