Emily Clarkson beams with joy as she announces birth of second baby girl
Emily Clarkson is ending 2024 on a joyous high after welcoming her second baby.
The social media star and Metro columnist, 30, announced today that her daughter ‘arrived a few days ago’ as she took to Instagram with a gorgeous snap.
Lying in her hospital bed, Emily beamed widely as she cradled the newborn.
Revealing her unusual name, she shared that her little girl is called Xanthe Fiadh Andrew.
She wrote in the caption that Xanthe ‘brought the sunshine with her’, adding: ‘We are all so happy xxxx’
The body-positive influencer was inundated with messages of congratulations, with megan_rose_lane commenting: ‘Never been happier for anyone ever 🥹 yaaaaaaaaaay !!!!!!! You did that! Welcome to the world baby girl ❤️’
‘NO MORE HG!!! Congratulations Hun xxx’, wrote beanie.campbell.
‘You made it!! The biggest congratulations to you all, couldn’t be happier for you. Gorgeous name too ❤️’, added ellenextdoor.
Emily welcomed her first child, a daughter named Arlo, with husband Alex Andrew last February.
In July this year, she shared that she was pregnant again.
Emily, whose father is Jeremy Clarkson, has been open with her thousands of online followers about the highs and lows of pregnancy.
One thing she has spoken at length about is hyperemesis gravidarum (HG),which is extreme morning sickness.
The condition can be debilitating for pregnant women, with the Princess of Wales also speaking about it in the past.
She previously admitted that while she ‘couldn’t be more ‘grateful’ to be pregnant again, she had been ‘suffering’.
Emily declared pregnancy number two as much harder than her first, having spent much of her first three months in bed. She was also hospitalised between shows during her podcast tour.
The writer also revealed that she had been struggling with guilt as she felt she was ‘missing out’ on moments with her firstborn, which led to feelings of ‘loneliness’.
