Road remains closed in both directions following house fire

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue said the B40 at Weston on the Green between the A34 and Weston Manor Hotel is shut due to an ‘ongoing incident’.

Earlier today (Sunday, April 7), Thames Valley Police confirmed the road was closed due to a ‘property fire’.

Officers were called just before 8.15pm yesterday (April 6) to support Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue.

The fire service has warned motorists to ‘expect delays’ and is urging them to ‘use an alternative route where possible’.

The Milk Shed, a business at Manor Farm off Northampton Road, announced it will be closed today due to the ‘unexpected road closure’.

“We’re sorry for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your understand,” it said, adding that it will reopen on Tuesday.
